220SU Kicks Off
Posted on Tuesday, August 12th 2008
The fall semester has begun at Southern University, and 220SU kicked it off with a bang on Sunday, August 10, with a Moving-In Outreach. Many of the 220 leaders served the in-coming freshmen students by unloading all of their things from their vehicles and moving them into the dormitories. This was also a time for us to share the Gospel, give out bottled waters, and connect the students to the 220SU Campus Ministry. After it was all said and done, we were able to serve almost 500 students. 220SU has definitely begun to establish a presence at Southern that will be remembered!

220 North Invades Harding Park in Baker
Posted on Friday, May 30th 2008
On Wednesday, May 28, the 220 North Summer Tour went to Harding Park in Baker. We set up a huge gospel tent in the middle of a baseball field. At 6 p.m., we started off the event with free Jambalaya. Then the 220 South Blue Man Group started the service with drums and rhythm. Praise and worship brought in the presence of God as we "Stomped on the Devil's Head" and sang "Hear I Am to Worship." Corey Baham, also known as Selah of Sanctified Syndicate, rapped, and Wayne Brown preached an awesome message about having "Real Life" in Christ. Over 180 kids attended the tour with 16 making decisions for Christ.
Our next tour event is at Maplewood Park in Glen Oaks. It will be on Saturday, June 14, at 2 p.m. Join us there for free Jambalaya, giveaways, and a special performance from the 220 North dance team.
